Privately financed gas fired power plant that Rummel Construction was awarded the site civil grading and drainage package.  This scope also included two lined evaporation ponds for the plant.  Rummel Construction’s scope of work included site excavation of approximately 250,000 cubic yards, clearing and grubbing of approximately 225 acres, excavation and subgrade preparation for two lined evaporation ponds, installation of liner, furnish and installation of leak detection system, hydro-seeding for non-surfaced areas of site, drainage installation of rock lined channels and retention basins, power block over-excavation and backfill, power block rock aggregate finish, asphalt paving of site roads and access roads to plant, construction of laydown yards, development and installation of construction water plan, and finish grading of site.  Rummel Construction also provided value engineering to owner developing a dust mitigation plan for site workers and plant deliveries that accessed site on public dirt roads.  This was accomplished with a mix of recycled asphalt material and industrial palliative materials that Rummel Construction furnished & installed.
