Residential Project

Verrado, Phase 1

DMB & Associates, Inc.
December, 2002

Initial groundbreaking phase of  the master planned community that included 5.0 million cubic yards of excavation and finish grading of 1,004 acres, approximately 6.3 miles of infrastructure roadway, 18 hole golf course construction, WWTP site, amenity sites, commercial pads, and home parcels. As the General Contractor, we maintained a tight schedule of six months averaging 40,000 cubic yards of excavation per shift.  Our role included SWPP device installation and maintenance in an environmentally sensitive site with numerous jurisdictional washes, 325,000 cubic yards of screened material for golf course plating, WWTP site grading, water storage tank structure excavation/backfill, and primary fire protection duties to ensure preservation of surrounding native desert areas in coordination with the Buckeye Fire Department and DMB & Associates.  We also developed, and currently maintain, a system of pumps, piping and water storage facilities delivering water to the site in coordination with Arizona American Water.
