Rummel Construction performed move on and site grading for two sites located in the San Joaquin Valley in central California. Each site is approximately 200 acres and will house two 20MW solar plants. Rummel Construction's scope of work included site grading cut to fill and level roll of the existing field.
Rummel Construction was engaged to assist the client with an offsite water haul that provided construction water for the site and used a fleet of water trucks to haul in over 400,000 gallons per day. We also excavated and placed 30 precast concrete vaults for the arrays. One unique aspect of the project was the excavation and assembly of a precast bridge at the Kansas site to support crossing a large irrigation canal. Rummel Construction placed aggregate surfacing for the site access roads and plant trailer and lay down yard. Perimeter fencing was installed around both sites by a key Rummel Construction, Inc. subcontractor.
