Rick and Rod Rummel began their construction careers as teenagers working for a family owned business in Missoula, Montana. Upon graduating from college in Arizona both were employed by a local road building firm and continued to advance their construction experience.
In 1996 Rick and Rod formed Rummel Construction, Inc. With the help of many people and a reasonable economy, the company began to grow and has evolved into a large heavy civil construction company that safely executes quality construction projects throughout the Southwest.
Rummel considers it standard business practice to go above and beyond expectations and cultivate loyal, reliable partnerships with our clients. We were founded on a strong set of core values and outstanding team members who have the knowledge, integrity and experience to form win-win partnerships through successful project delivery.
We have a long history of community involvement and outreach. Whether it involves clearing dirt, being a part of local committees, mentoring a student, raising money for those in need, or simply sharing our expertise, Rummel team members approach each effort humbly, with a strong belief that they are doing the right thing.
Rummel’s solid reputation is backed by our core values and commitment to excellence. We have the depth and strength in people and equipment to ensure your project is delivered as planned, on time and on budget.
We are proud to be part of ESS Companies, a 100% employee-owned family of brands. Rummel has had the opportunity to perform on many large-scale projects and is an established industry leader in mass earthmoving operations. But, what’s it really like to work at a company of our size? What makes Rummel culture stand out from the crowd? Through this video and many more on our youtube channel, we’re happy to give you an in-depth look at an average day at Rummel.
We stay a step ahead of the competition through our technology-focused project plans and processes. With equipment like GPS systems, a Remote Control Skidsteer, Drone Imaging and top-notch surveying and analysis software, our projects are run with the efficiency, adaptability and accuracy necessary for modern day project excellence.
Using GPS allows us to finish jobs at a much quicker pace and provides both a cost savings and a more accurate finished product. We use both Trimble and Topcon GPS Systems on the majority of our projects, ranging from Base Station and Rover kits to Machine Control and Radios.
Our drone division is the newest addition to the Rummel team. We use a DJI Phantom RTK for mapping topographical information and capturing high-quality project photography and videography.
